Scarce English History, an interesting work by Howell, including "the dighting of a dragon"
"Dr William Howell’s Medulla Historiae Anglicanae states: Ancient and Present State of England (1712), ‘At St. Osyphs in Essex was seen a dragon of marvellous bigness, which by moving burned houses.
Scarcely seen with all plates present

Attributes: Scarce, Disbound copy, with all pages and plates present (basically lacking the front board) lovely copper engraved plates and woodcuts.
Condition: Lacking Front board. Back board present. lower panel to spine chipped. 2x fly leafs, title, table, and two blocks loose (basically all before page 16 loose) rest of binding firm. Pages a little grubby with spotting and marks throughout. Needs rebinding.
