Original Description:
1968 Wheelcamper "Chuckwagon 7"
I am the second owner.  Clear New Mexico title in my name.  1 7/8 inch ball.  Has a modern 7 blade tow connection.
Short story:  Camper was purchased from the original owner on August 4th, 2018.  When I purchased the camper, it had sat unused / untouched for 11 years (last used in 2007 by original owner).  Trees had overgrown the camper, the roof was buckled in, and it had significant water damage.
I repla...ced the roof, the inside ceiling, kitchen top, and back splash.  All cushions, curtains, privacy curtains were thoroughly washed.
On Sep 13-15 2018, it was put back together enough for me to take it on a test camping trip.  Since that first trip, I have went on 13 trips totaling 5, 797 miles.  Mostly within New Mexico, but two trips to central Texas.
Additional details:This pop up has the rare and very unique, slide out kitchenette.  You can either cook outside or inside.  You can slide it out when the camper is in the down/stowed position, so if you want to pull into a rest area to cook up some lunch/dinner, you can easily do that without erecting the entire camper.
New wheel bearings on 28 Aug 18.  New tires installed on 2 Apr 19 and they have 2, 693 miles on them.
Camper will come with clear New Mexico title in my name, one spare tire mounted on the rear of camper, one 12-volt battery (55 amp hours), one propane bottle (about half full), and some original paperwork (or copies of original paperwork).
No other miscellaneous items will come with the camper (e.g. dishes, tools, cleaning items, camping items, jack/jack stands, etc).
Stove top:  Works fine, 3-burners.Heater:  Works fine, last used on 30 Mar 19.Water pump:  Works fine, but there is no water tank (there is space for one under left side dinette table bench seat...I just never installed one).  The water pump is not original, this was added at some point along the way.Power capabilities:  Shore power plugin works fine.  Original DC-to-AC inverter works, but makes loud humming noise so I never utilized that.  12-volt DC power works fine and is what I used nearly 100% of the time.Canvas:  Original canvas is in very good condition.  Considering its age, I'd give it a strong 8 out of 10.  Some small repairs over the years, some stains.  One snap button is missing.  Screens are fine.  Zippers work, but you need to be gentle as some zipper teeth have fallen out.  In certain random spots, canvas will soak in vs. repel water  (I have never added any conditioner to the canvas). For what its worth, while camping on the night of 2 Aug 19 it rained extremely hard for a good hour to an hour and a half.  All was fine inside the camper.  That's probably the sixth time I have been camping with a good down pour...no issues either time. Lights:  All brake/tail lights work minus the set of three in the back center above spare tire. They have worked before, but all three bulbs are blown out.  Interior light is LED and has a dimmer switch.Cushions:  The original large green cushions for both bed ends are in great shape (these were stored inside of the original owner's home when the camper sat idle for 11 years).  Dinette cushions have been re-covered (original yellow fabric is underneath).  Large cushion for sleeping area on top of slide out kitchen is included but not photoed.  That cushion has not been recovered and still has the original yellow fabric.Curtains:  Original curtains included and are in fair-to-good condition.Privacy curtains:  For the end beds, original green privacy curtains are included but not photoed (I never used them).Ice box:  Door opens/closes fine.  I just used it for dry food storage.
Some other things to highlight:Has 10 ft 10" box.  3 foot 3" tongue, so approximately 14 feet overall.  Approximately 6 ft 6" wide. Pictures 2-6 show steps in set up (takes about 10 minutes).  Pictures 7-9 are from when I found it.  Pictures 10 and 11 are of the new roof work.Left rear tail light cover has a hole in it.  Left forward original yellow marker light is sun-faded.  Right forward yellow marker light is after market (not original).  Rear red marker lights are original (Theo Bargman).  No key for the door. Wheelcamper emblem on back is cracked.  Added two USB ports, a "cigarette lighter" port, and a digital volt meter gauge.  The starting bid reflects the amount the original owner paid for it on March 25th, 1968.  He purchased from Kokomo Trailer Mart, Inc. Kokomo, Indiana.
Please ask questions or if you prefer, you can pass along your phone number and we can chat.
I have absolutely nothing to hide.  This camper has been excellent and I really enjoy using it.  In fact,  I will most likely use the camper before the auction closes out.
I'm selling because for the past two years I have had a strong desire to build my own camper.  I want to stop desiring and start doing and I need the yard space to start that project.
I strongly prefer that the camper gets picked up within 3-weeks of auction close.
Thank you.On Aug-06-19 at 04:06:03 PDT, seller added the following information:If you have feedback less than 10 or just a general lack of history on eBay, please contact me if prior to your bid or your intention to bid.   Thanks. On Aug-10-19 at 07:48:26 PDT, seller added the following information:The inverter is sketchy.  Yesterday, I powered it on, but it didn't power the device I had plugged into the socket.  I have hardly ever (if ever) used the inverter, so it may be operator error.  I'm just adjusting ad to reflect that the inverter is not working.  On Aug-10-19 at 09:33:06 PDT, seller added the following information:To clarify "replaced the roof". The aluminium top is original, that was not replaced.  The wood structure underneath the aluminium top (specifically the cross members) were replaced (see pics 10 and 11).  The aluminium top has the normal dents and dings from hail.
Two bottle jacks will come with the camper.  These can be used to stabilize the rear (under the rear frame) when fully set up to camp.
Thank you.
