For sale is 100% authentic and Rare Civil War Confederate Cavalry Sword, possibly Dog River or Kenansville North Carolina Armory. It was found in Pennsylvania and appears to be absolutely in untouched condition. It bears the typical single wire wrap on grip which shows lots of age and original patina. The pommel cap is untouched and the blacksmith forged blade has an original heavy patina and unstopped fuller totally correct for Confederate manufacture. The scabbard could possibly be a... civil war era S&K European import scabbard that appears to be custom fitted to the blade as it has a heavy seem along the backside. Overall, 100% authentic Confederate cavalry sword or saber which is either dog river or possibly Kenansville North Carolina type III manufactured.
