I received this clock from a former employer about 15 years ago. I have tried to get more information on it but he passed a few years ago. I had it running daily for the first few years and then again for the past 6 months. Between that time it was just wall art. The picture with the tape measure is misleading because of the angle it was shot at and the tape being in the background. It is actually `18-19" inches from Antlers to base. I did not see an...y marking regarding how long it runs. I usually pull the weights every 4-5 days. I only have it mounted about 5 feet from the floor so the weight hits the floor while there is still a lot of chain left. It is picky about the clock being mounted level/plumb. A few times the clock has shifted when I reset the weights and then the pendulum stops after awhile.
UPDATE 8/11: A prospective bidder informed me that the 34-A means it is an 8 day clock
While I don't know it's date of manufacture it looks like all the Hunter clocks in the vintage category. I will try to provide as much information so you can date it yourself if you find that necessary. If you need more information please don't hesitate to ask. Since the engraving on the clock work does not photograph well, here is what is written: SYNT-OIL Clock 859. Both sides are stamped GM and under that are the numbers 164900 & 1674539 on the left side and 1704075 & 1705294 on the right. Between them is 34-A. Lower down in the middle is the REGULA mark. Then on the left "Made in Germany" center "A. Schneider Sohne" and last "NO (0) Jewels unadjusted on the right side. I could find no mark for how many days the works are for as some web sites mentioned. Inside the clock on the floor is a penciled 79 or 7g also again on the inside of the back door which you can see in the upper corner of my picture. Lastly, on the outside of the door in pencil there is what looks like 29W and 4031 penciled on the top edge.
Unfortunately, its just a little to big to fit in a large flat rate box. I have 2 types of shipping because depending on distance the savings between USPS Priority and FedEx might be significant.
