RARE 1920's-30sAntique 6 String Zither Banjo openback Great Estate Find -looks to be inoriginal condition open back banjo - Measurementsare 36" tall with the body about 11" diameter - neckhas a total length of about 25' and distance from nut to 12th fret is about13.5" -even has a 5th or 6th strong"exit Tunnel" along neck between the 4th & 5th fret . . . the canvas skincould use tightening or replacement - I believe the banjo has all itsorigin...al bracket hooks and screws except for 1 or 2 . . it appears one side may be the originaltuners and the other side could be replacement tuners . other than an inlay DOTon the head I can not find any maker mark . possibly a old Wurlitzer 6 string banjo the neck isheld by 3 large screws but should be re-attached and set-up/repaired better -(please see Photos condition ) -There may or maynot be other parts missing from banjo such as bridge but this Banjo is very old& is exactly how I found it and would make a great project & will need some work to getto play beautifully again - worth thework needed.
