A Beautiful original Vintage Kaiser Idell 6718/121 Original Scissor Wall Lamp.
The Lamp was designed by Christian Dell in 1931 and was made under the highly regarded Kaiser name through the mid 20th century.
This one comes with the original label on its wall plate showing all the lamps details. This is quite unusual to come across and really shows just how in it's original condition this one is. As you can see from the photos this is in its original used condition and... does show some beautiful signs of wear and tear. Unlike the ones that have been stripped and resprayed this is very tactile and you can feel the history and use of this piece bringing up thoughts of where and what it has done through its years. This in my opinion really does adds to the joy of owning it.
The lamp is 40cm long closed and 85cm long fully open.The shades maximum diameter is 21cm.The wall plate from where it is hung is 6cm x 11cm.
As you can see from the pictures the lamp and the lamps original switch does fully work. It will be sold though without the plug attached so it is unable to be used, this is because no electrical checks or tests have been undertaken. The new owner takes full responsibility if it is used without any tests or checks being completed.
