Antique American Civil War Naval Sword, marked "USN 1862 Ames Chicopee Mass." Hilt with Brass mounts and gilt finish, leather covered grip with wire. Blade is strong large fullered, marked on both sides. Scabbard is leather with gilt brass mounts matching the hilt. Condition is fare with heavy oxidation and age wear. Blade and hilt are tight. Dated 1862.
