Performance:The Amplifier Is in perfect working order. The main board just received new capacitors and transistors. The output is phenomenal. Although only rated at 20wpc, this amp drives any speaker I own at minimum gain. It will give you goosebumps and leave y...our scratching your head wondering how the hell it does it. The amp has nice punchy bass and clear crisp highs. The midbass is not as full as some of my larger amps, but it is a unique and great experience to listen to. Ive owned the greatly regarded AU-555a which created the same wonder and joy. I prefer this unit to my AU-717 and AU-999. I sat on this, waiting repair for over a year, thinking 20wpc.. Not real exciting. It wasn't until after I got my 555a and sold it that I dug this out and restored it as it had a dropped channel. What a great surprise and glad I kept it. I orginally purchased this knowing it is a rather rare model. Sansui only made a single 2-ch Integrated model with a silver face. I believe the AU-4900 Is the black version of this one, at least ascetics wise. The tuner, I ordered on eBay last month to make a set out of this when I saw a clean one pop up. In all I paid about $150 for the tuner. It arrived working and I have not done any repairs to the tuner. It is cosmetically nice and functions well. No issues picking up and locking in to local stations. I do provide a 6-month repair warranty and the amplifier only. Buyer is responsible to pay for shipping. The tuner is aold as is, as I have not worked on it and do not warranty vintage items I have not completed. For the amp, I will cover repair for anything on the main board. I will not cover blown output transistors unless they fail due to an issue with parts I installed on the board. Warranty is only offered through me or an authorized tech within my network. Please understand, will not reimburse for cost if you elect to take some where else. Warranty is only valid to buyees residing within the Continental US unless by choice you choose to have shipped and provide return shipping that you have paid for. Cosmetics:The Amplifier is in incredible condition. Shows only light wear and is free from damage or missing parts. Please note, the small bottom plastic feet were changed with a simalar style but not oem. Please see all pictures.
The tuner is also very clean. Possesses minimal wear. Its not as clean as the amplifier but very nice and also free from damage and mo missing parts.
