Vintage Madame Alexander Kins In HTF Blue Sundress, Correct Hat & Shoes - CUTE

This listing is for a very special, hard to find Alexander-kins from around 1961. She's a bend knee walker with no cracks, splits, or stains in her plastic and her walking mechanism works pretty well. She has a beautiful zig-zag stitched brunette wig in original set. Her all original facial coloring is nice and bright with wonderfully blushed cheeks and lips. So pretty! Wendy is wearing a turquoise cotton sundress styled with a dropped waist and matching bloomers. The cotton is printed... with white modern design abstract stars and trimmed with white bows at the waist. It is tagged inside "Alexander-kins". The condition is excellent with great shine and body and no stains, tears, or other imperfections. The bloomers have good original elastic and match perfectly. She wears a cute sun hat of white straw topped with a turquoise bow. One side of the chin elastic needed a couple of inside stitches to reattach it. She completes the outfit with white oxford tie shoes and socks. This outfit is seen in the back of P. Smith's WOA book in the "unknown" section, p. 185 and she guessed the date to be 1959-1960. I also found it on the Lia Sargent website in the "Evergreen and Roses" section. She calls this a "rare doll" ca 1961 and titles it "Wendy dressed for Winter Vacation". This doll looks exactly like the one on the Lia website. She's a darling, hard to find Alexander-kin that will look great in any vintage collection!Please take a look at all my other listings this week.
