Rare 1938 Brass Model PELTON Turbine / Steam Engine H B HARRISON, KENDAL No. 20
Item History & Price
Pelton Wheel / Steam Turbine
HOW RARE IS THIS ONE ? A brass/bronze Pelton wheel made by H B Harrison & Co, Kendal and dated 1938. When I found this turbine it was coated in many layers of thick paint which I have removed. The turbine wheel was originally red so this has been repainted. I have made new gaskets and replaced the steel nuts. The wheel spins freely with no sign of wear or free play. This is a large and heavy model with... a base 13 cm. by 7.5 cm. the overall height is 12 cm. and it weighs nearly 4 Kg. At some later date a bracket has been soldered to one side and a lifting ring to the top. When connected to the airline the speed can best be described as SCREAMING !
You are most welcome to view this turbine at my home in Long Sutton
