Her rare, almost extinct, MINT EARLY ’50's DONNA outfit soft white, lavender eyelette trim and adorable little felt hat with old lavender flower. Absolutely stunningly beautiful and rare outfit with this DROP DEAD GORGEOUS early transitional girl. Those LAVENDER EYES looking at you framed by the amazing early soft, rich brown mohair wig that Vogue favored in 1950! She is so rare now that she is not in many books but I found her in the “VOGUE GINNY DOLLS” book by... Patricia Smith, page 50. No tag but we promise she is beautifully VOGUE.
She is such a glorious combination with her especially breathtaking EYES. And face. And wig. The “folded felt” hat of that era with its beautiful lavender bouquet, is stunning. Oh PS, I googled the flowers and they are violets!!! So pretty. Showed her cute little purse’s flowers all around, perfect!
DONNA is beautiful with a matt finish all over, an unplayed with doll. I can’t quit talking about her face, wow. She has the softest hair most alive looking mohair wig and its still in the original set, so sweet! She has nice face paint, delicate as transitionals are. It just makes the prettiest, sweetest look. A cherished child who will never grow up.
DONNA’s dress is white organdy shadow print. The shadow print is very distinct on the panties as well. The lavender eyelette trim version is probably the most rare of this rare outfit, it came in yellow and I think pink. Under the dress is a nice gauze slip in great condition. Nice vintage white shoes and socks and her little purse has a sprig of the same flowers as her hat. Her hat is correct and so cute with that same wonderful flower sprig. GREAT faux lavender flowers, I just love Vogues early folded felt hats they put with such amazing little dresses. Dress also came as separate, we just learned.
Buy her if you love her. We don’t see her up often, after all, so grab her now while you can!
