Tonight I'm happy to offer, from a recently purchased estate, Sherman, Vintage, Late 1950's - Root Beer and Topaz AB Color - Round, Marquise and Reverse Shaped Crystals - 2" Reverse Crystal Domed Cluster Motif Brooch and Earring Set. EXTREMELY RARE DESIGN & COLOR COMBINATION! - MINT CONDITION! - NO RESERVE! This handsome and impressive set dates from the late 1950's, made by the well known Canadian firm of "Sherman" designed as a large sized tapered 2" by 2" domed reverse crystal c...luster layered and stacked for a 3-D effect. The set is done in a series of dazzling and intense root beer and topaz AB color round, marquise and reverse shaped crystals set in a gold plated setting. The brooch comes with a pair of matching 1" reverse crystal cluster earrings that match the details in the brooch.
The set is in mint condition showing only normal use all the original stones, none missing or replaced with no loss to the finish or plating on the back of the brooch or earrings. The brooch is marked on the back, Sherman on a small gold oval and Sherman on the back of the ear clips. SHERMAN Sherman was a Canadian costume jewelry company that produced very high-quality pieces. Colorful or clear prong-set rhinestones or cut crystal beads (sometimes with an aurora borealis finish) adorn most Sherman pieces; the metal is rhodium-plated or gold-plated. "Jewels of Elegance" by Sherman was written on some carded Sherman jewelry. Sherman produced jewelry from 1947-1981. As I usually do I'm offering this item at a LOW opening with NO RESERVE.
