This listing is for a rare, fully functional, BATTERY OPERATED BRUNO THE ACCORDION BEAR w/box as shown. This is not a reproduction toy. It is in MINT condition. Litho, tin, plush fur, clothing & plastic parts are in excellent condition with no wear. A nice version of Bruno with bi-colored fur. Head and chest are a golden reddish brown while the ears, hands and feet are a tan color. No discoloration or fading anywhere. No damage anywhere. All 5 actions perform correctly. When either... switch is pressed, he moves sideways in opposite directions. Both his feet move. Both his hands move squeezing the accordion. An accordion sound is produced and his eyes light up. Very neat! An absolutely charming toy. This toy has been tested and works perfectly. Battery compartment is mint as are the connections. Original battery insertion card is included. The wiring between the remote and toy is undamaged and still supple and flexible. The original box is complete and in very good-excellent condition. It does have a few clear tape repairs. Displays very well. This is a "MADE IN JAPAN" toy listed in Don Hultzman's book, COLLECTOR'S GUIDE TO BATTERY TOYS, copyright 2002, second edition. It is listed on page 35. It is a 1950's era toy made by the Y Co. The logo's on the box indicate that it is distributed by " ROSKO STEEL INC. " and is " APPROVED by the LITTLE FOLKS CREATIVE GUILD ". It has a rarity of 8 on a scale to 10 being the rarest, and a value of $450.00 in C-10 condition without the box. This would make a superb addition to any collector of toys. Too cute!
