Original Description:
Being offered is an interesting and unusual old antique South American Amazon war club.  This club measures 26 3/4” in total length.  The handle area shows a smooth finish from lots of handling and has a separate “pommel” or end cap so often found on Amazon club.  The striking portion of the club is rather sword shaped.  It has a high median ridge with sloped edges.  The wood is a medium weight so definitely a fast club that could have made effective stri...kes.  The interesting thing is all the circular designs.  They might be imitating the designs found on a snake or lizard.  Very neat feature.  The very tip has a broke piece that happened long ago because the patina matches the rest of the club.  Completely uncleaned.  Has a bit of dust and dirt/grime.  I think it would clean up nicely and reveal a lovely wood.  All in all, a nice and unusual Amazonian club.  I have 2 other clubs listed from the Amazon so please have a look.  I also have a wide assortment of sword, dagger and tribal art so please have a look at my other auctions.  Please e-mail with any questions.
