"I was reading my new GuitarWorld that had the Warren Haynes article in it. In the article he mentions... that he recorded his new album with one of Willie Nelson's old Fenders, a TrainWreck and a.... Fender Pro Jr. I know that Jeff Beck mentioned in his article that he was using them as well. I also saw Derek Trucks using one when he was on Bob and Tom recently. Being that I am in the market for a new amp I haven't gottent to play one of these amps YET. Are they really that good of am amp for $400 and only having two knobs to adjust tone? I know there has been a lot said about these amps here but I needed to ask."
"I saw a really great guitarist live in the San Diego area, you may know him, Larry Mitchell? If not, Google him! He had a pretty comprehensive pedalboard, but all he ran was stereo Pro Juniors, one on each side of the stage ... they looked so tiny, me and a friend were kinda snickering! One song into his set and the smirks were wiped clean off our faces! It changed my view of amps, cabs and miking techniques forever. As I age and want to limit my lifting of huge amps & cabs, I'm forever glad I went to that show! He opened for John Jorgenson, another amazing player, who only used a 1x12 combo! (A Matchless ... of course). LOL"
"I have owned, and still own, several vintage Fender amps that have literally cost 10 times more than I paid for this little Pro Junior. This Pro Junior just gets amazing tone and the vintage tones I chase. Every time I plug in I am dumbfounded. I guess this is the reason that guys like Jeff Beck are touring with them. You owe to yourself to spend some time with a Pro Junior if you haven't."
