Mariner and Anchor on Fish-street-hill, 1683.The book measures 5¾ x 3¼" and has [12] + 603 +[5] pages and is Wing F600 lacking the engraved title page but otherwise complete. First published in 1646 towards the end of the English Civil War, the author was the nephew of the important Puritan writer, Daniel Featley.The book is bound in rubbed full panelled calf, the spine has been crudely but soundly repaired with a large leather patch stitched through the boards. The endpapers have old inscriptions. The title leaf is partially detached and has a small ink inscription. There are some creased corners in the text, some light foxing in a few places, and some light staining in the last few leaves.
