A well made and very refined folding leather clad wooden writers box. Padded leather lid, and a bi-fold hinged aspect to reveal inner slots and sections for envelopes stationery etc. I'm unsure what the two white card panels are for, possibly to do with photography or stereo cards? The drop in inkwell is a beauty and is watertight to prevent leakage, and in fine condition. The pen tray lifts out to reveal a further section below.Lock is fitted but no key.A very tidy and quite unusual ...writing compendium, likely c1900s.Good vintage condition, some ripping and a missing leather corner tab to the paper to inside of lid.Outside dimensions 25.5cm x 20.5cm x height 7cm. weight is 945 Grams.We have listed several other pieces including jewellery, silver, decorative art and collectables.
