Slim pamphlet, measuring approx. 27cm x 17.5cm. Disbound, and only just held together with a couple of binding threads. Two leaves are grubby/marked and have a couple of creases. Couple of spots, and the odd pale mark. Pale toning/offsetting, else the majority of contents remain in clean condition.

Scarce COMMONWEALTH pamphlet, with only three copies listed in ESTC in the UK
To survey the extent and boundaries of the forest and to discover claims to ownership "In your surveys, you are distinctly to express how much is open and common waste ground, how much thereof is the proper soil of the Common-Wealth, and by whom the residue thereof is claimed, and to set out by metes and bounds, that proportion of waste, the soil thereof is the Commonwealths.... Cottages, houses, churches, parishes, hamlets, Lands, Manors, Timber, Oak, Elm.. survey on behalf of the proprietors, Commoners and other persons concerned therein
….examine inhabitants claiming any manors, Lands, Tenements, Common of Pasture, Herbage, Pasturage, Rights and Profits"
The pamphlet also lists the names of the commissioners who are to survey this land.
In this edition, the last line on p.1 ends: 'Commonwealths'.Wing E1592A
