Offered from an estate collection is this wonderful early 1900's J F Hillerich & Son Co "Champion" No. 8 B Decal Bat in good to very good vintage condition. This bat predates Hillerich and Bradsby. I've been unable to identify the red decal on the barrel, or whether it depicts a player. It's possible it reads Louisville Slugger. If someone can tell me what it is, I'd appreciate it. Bat is in nice shape, with a good knob, and with play and surface wear commensurate with age and use.... There are no chips or significant cracks; there is a small crack beginning to form near the top of the barrel on the reverse side. Nice patina. The bat measures 35".
