In 1950 Goebel paidtribute to Sister M.I.Hummel and they created the first Full Bee stamped mark(a bee flying within a V). This stamp ison the bottom along with several marked H...X82. The set is in very good to mint condition. You will get the following figures: Joseph, Mary, Jesus, Caspar, Melchior, Balthasar, Shephard boy with attached lamb, 2 sitting lambs, donkey, cow and angel holding a candle. Mary isapproximately 4 3/4" tall and Joseph, 2 wise men stand approximately 6 -7"tall. Please review the pictures fordetails.I will package carefully and ship quickly. The HX are Model Designators for the figurines. I believe the H stands for Holy and the X forMiscellaneous. If this is correct itwould mean the manufacturing date is before 1980. (see below)Goebel has produced an unmatched variety of quality products comparablein quality to any country in the world since 1876. Figurines based on the work of renownedartists became singular additions to the product lines since 1935 and are nowfavorites of collectors worldwide. UnlikeHummel, trademark differences in Goebel products are of minor considerationwhen evaluating figurines with the important exception that the oldest trademarks, especially the crescent moon and ducal crown, are considered to be rare. Miscellaneous Goebel notes: A date beneath the trademark is the date of themother mold.· © next to the trademark indicates it iscopyrighted under U.S. law.· ® next to the trademark means it isregistered. A small incised number underthe base, such as “24”, has no significance to the collector. It is used by the factory as an internalidentifier.· A letter after the model number signifies it ispart of a series· An Arabic or Roman numeral indicated the itemwas made in several sizes.· Two capital letters used prior to 1980 are modeldesignators. In general, the firstletter signifies the category in which the article is placed. The second letter describes the type of item.In 1980, Goebel changed the numbering system on general Goebel productslines to a seven digit number of intelligence. The first two digits are now the model designator, the next three numbersare the piece numbers and the last two numbers denote the category of decorationused.
