Letters are in good vintage condition (pen and pencil) with fold marks and wear; most are fairly legible.  Paper discoloration and staining.  Our home is smoke free.  Please see the photos for more details.
Includes 6 complete letters and 1 other document:
PHOTOCOPIED handwritten history of Barrett Jenkins Rice's military service (soldier from Chattanooga, TN -- Co. B, 117th Engineers, 42nd Div.)6 complete letters from France (all dated in 1919) - he was wounded in... September 1918 and was impatient about staying at the hospital.  They began moving toward home in a "casual company."  He talks about being billeted at a crossroads in a barn.
