Amint condition example of an original unofficial new team insignia for Special ForcesOperational Detachment A-3233 (ODA-3233), Company C, 2nd Battalion, 3rdSpecial Forces Group (Abn). The 3rdSFGA is theoretically oriented towards all of Sub-Saharan Africa the exceptionof the Eastern Horn of Africa i.e. AFRICOM. In practice, 3rd SFGA and two of its battalions spend roughlysix months out of every twelve deployed to Afghanistan as Combined Join...tSpecial Operations Task Force - Afghanistan. This 2017 insignia is not shown in the “U.S. Special Forces GroupInsignia (Post 1975)” however it is the actual insigniareceived by the team, on velcro backing and found in Kandhar, Afghanistan andis not the copy of a decal and is 'C&D ident No. 190-52 but is not found in Perkowski’s new “U.S. Army Special Forces Team Historyand Insignia, 1975 to Present”. Warning: Some of these team insignia are now beingcopied as fakes for sale to collectors, including those fakes made by mcgrogans(aka campaign casuals), and sold by some unknowledgeable or dishonest (?)sellers, especially in the Vermont area, therefore parts of this image havebeen obliterated.
