Dallmeyer London, No.27624, 2B Patent’The lens has the soft focus adjustment to the rear allowingthe user to adjust the distance between the rear elements. This has the effectof giving a softer edge to the image, conversely it can be adjusted to sharpenthe image. The lens has rack and pinion focus and the original hood. All partsof the lens can easily be dismantled.Lens Details:

Condition:
Cosmetically the lens is good it has lost some of its original lacquer but thebrass is still good and clean.
mechanically the rack works well but is stiff.
optically the lenses are very good with only light cleaning marks and a fewinclusions in the glass, the cement on the achromatic pair at the front is goodwith no deterioration or yellowingAccording to the Dallmeyer archive this lens was bought onthe 1st of April 1878 by a h.
