Original fieldpost letter, written by a German soldier who was with the Panzer regiment 7. When he wrote this letter, the regiment fought in Russia and was then shift to Africa under the Command of Erwin Rommel.

Dear parents!
Since today is Saturday and I have some time, I would not miss to write you some lines. I received your little package of November 22, 1941 with great joy and thank you very much for it. Health wise I am doing well in the circumstances and I hope the same of you. The worst thing at the moment is the big cold in Russia. Last year at this time I was at home and I am curious when I get this year's holiday. You wrote to me about the boots for Gustav. You can give it to him and for the time being does not need to ask for any money, because that's what we manage ourselves. Now I want to close for today and I wish you all the best from my heart and hope for a soon and healthy reunion. Many greetings to you, your son Heinrich.
