This is my rare ORIGINAL model of the audiophile grade Audio Control The Richter Scale half octave, bass boosting, bass analyzing, bass equalizing, rumble and subsonic filtering audio processor AND crossover. The unit is legendary, and mine still has its original, high precision, proprietary matching powered microphone. The unit was fully tested, functional, noise and fault free. The bass test tone/warble tone generator works perfectly and the microphone accurately picks up signal... peaks and troughs around my room. It boosted and corrected the bass signal to both my Velodyne 1000W sub and my main full range speakers with awesome results. To utilize this component, it MUST be connected either between the Pre Amp and Power Amp separates or those stages of a receiver or integrated amp, if it has, or in the tape monitor loop of a receiver that has it. This unit ROCKS. (AND MADE IN THE USA!) Link to download the original manual or digital copy will be provided. The manual alone is superb in explaining bass management. Series information: Look carefully at photos, there is NO series number on front or rear panel. All later series have Series II and III etc on or under model name. This is a MUST have for any serious collector and user of vintage or newer audio components, separates, subwoofers, and lovers of accurate powerful clean bass. All bass correction and EQ is done in the analog domain, there is no re-sampling / re-digitization of the signal if it has come through a prior D/A conversion.
