1920s Vintage Watt Ware Yellow Ware Stoneware Bowl withLidThis vintage piece is from Watt Pottery which was inbusiness from 1922 in Perry County, Ohio. The Watt family ran the business from 1922 to 1967. The pottery was on the site of the Burley Potteryand their early works included crocks, churns, jars and jugs. They later dropped the stoneware in favor ofthe more popular ovenware. Their markcovers most of the bottom of the piece, is difficult to see, but ...includes “EveN Bake” “Watt Ware” and “USA” This set features the original lid. The underside of the rim is not glazed.This vintage piece has 3 stripes on the lid and on thebowl. The stripes consist of 2 narrowthat border a wider center stripe. Bothpieces have crazing, small chips around the edges due to the age andusage. The bowl has a very smallhairline crack that goes through inside and out.The bowl is 7" across, and about 4 1/2 " high with lid.Please look at the pictures carefully. This piece would be a great addition to ayellow ware collection.
