Excellent overall condition mechanically - Owned over 30 years by myself, used regularly. Serial Number 232377 (see photo)
Recently tested camera with film, runs well. Runs as should, and wind-up FPS (frames per second) rate is accurate.
I have owned since 1986, professionally serviced in regular intervals, in safe, clean, dry climate-controlled storage in my personal home since then.
Camera serviced for m...any years by Dieter Schaefer of Pro-Cam of North Hollywood, CA (Later La Canada, CA, then Arizona, ) whose technical service knowledge of these cameras was in my opinion best in the U.S. Maintenance was regular/preventative.
***PLEASE NOTE following CONDITION FLAWS: 1--Top plastic cavity plate will need to be either replaced or plastic-glue repaired, see photo, I have seen these sell for $75-$95 here on eBay. It does not actually affect the hole where light would get through, so an improvised repair to the existing would work fine for full functionality.2--The variable shutter lever has a jam/impediment in its postion that it won't lower down to partially or fully closed, though it worked fine in past over many years of my use. It is currently in the fully-open position and allows proper exposure as-is.3--Lastly the diopter adjuster for the eyepiece won't go quite all the way to the "+" adjustment, an easy fix/adjustment. 4--Needs a rubber eye-cup as well, these are available at reasonable cost $30-$35 on eBay.
**I've adjusted the price to compensate for these needed adjustments/repairs, although it will also run well right now as-is.**
**Pro-Cam installed a TV-Safe viewfinder, as well as indicator lines for 1:1.85 35mm aspect ratio Blow-Up in the viewfinder** This is very helpful for framing material today to similar HDTV aspect ratios. Note it also has the Paillard mounting chin at front of camera for Matte Box/other peripheral attachments.
Camera was originally purchased by me from Chambless, largest retailer of Bolex equipment at the time, in Atlanta.
Many music videos/documentaries shot with this camera, including the 1994 25th Anniversary Woodstock Music Festival, in Saugerties, NY.
