Click images to enlarge Description This is one of many listings for the personal book collection of a late President at Roger Williams University in Bristol, RI. The books were all displayed in the President's Mansion home library. The books are all beautifully leather-bound and in absolutely pristine condition. The books will add an air of sophistication and connoisseurship to any interior! Today we are offering for sale a wonderful set of C.S. Forester's Hornblower novels, from the library of the President's Mansion at Roger Williams University in Rhode Island! The set was published by Easton Press in 2001 and is composed of the following books (in no particular order):
1. Beat to Quarters
2. Commodore Hornblower
3. Lieutenant Hornblower
4. Hornblower and The Hotspur
5. Mr. Midshipman Hornblower
6. Lord Hornblower
7. Admiral Hornblower in the West Indies
8. Ship of the Line
9. Hornblower and The Atropos
10. Hornblower During the Crisis
11. Flying Colours
This set of books is bound beautifully in gilt-tooled navy blue leather with a unique, detailed design on the covers. When grouped together, the set acts as a striking decorative piece for any space - especially for a nautical-themed library or living room. Set of books present beautifully and is in un-read, pristine, and like new condition, with very minimal display/shelf wear. No mold, pet, or smoke odor or other surprises. Most of the books have never been opened. Each book comes with an insert from the publishing company, featuring biographical information on the author. A fabulous set of books that will enhance any well-curated book collection. Fresh to the market!
Measurements: 8 3/4" x 5 7/8" x 1 3/8" (depth varies slightly per book)
