Encyclopedia of JapaneseAircraft 1900-1945 Volumes 1-5. Thesehardcover books were published by Shuppan-Kyodo (Tokyo, Japan) in the late 1950’s- 1960’s. Each book measures 8 3/8” x 6”, has over 150 pages, Japanese text (with some English) and includes manyblack/white photographs and drawings. All five volumes come with a protective jacket. Volumes 1, 2 and 3 include the book number for that publication (see photo). The pages in the volumes are in ver...y good condition with no writing, water damage or creasing. There are some partial tears between the inside cover and the first pages. Otherwise the books are crisp. Volume 1: Mitsubishi Aircraft, 212 pages, plastic book cover, corrugated cardboard jacket, published in 1958, #3015. Volume 2: Aichi Aircraft, 193 pages, corrugated cardboard jacket, published in 1959, #2668. Volume 3: Kawanishi Aircraft, 180 pages, corrugated cardboard jacket, published in 1959, #1877. Volume 4: Kawasaki Aircraft, 164 pages, glassine book cover, smooth finished cardboard jacket, published in 1966. Volume 5: Nakajima Aircraft, 244 pages, glassine book cover, smooth finished cardboard jacket, no publication date but looks like the same vintage as Volume 4.These five books weigh 6pounds.
