Original Description:
Offered here is an excellent vintage Easter island wood carving. Please examine images to see the wood grain and the interesting wood colors. The carvings on his back have the traditional Bird-Man motifs. He is approximately 12 inches tall and 5 inches at shoulders. The person who gave him to me said his father brought it home after World War II. I have seen others of this type of carving, but this one has real sense of quality. Very strong and dignified priestly type of fellow. A hand...some addition to a collection.
