This is a lovely example of a Russian Caucasian Kindjal Dagger Short Sword that dates from the mid to late 19th Century. It is mounted with a grooved, stickie point blade that measures 15 1/4 inches in length by 1 1/4 inches at the widest which remains in good condition with only some old surface pitting scars, nevertheless the wonderful maker's mark is very nice and clear. It wears lovely carved bone and dark horn grips which also remain very healthy and tight in their condition. The ...metal fitted leather scabbard is present and although has a temporary leather replacement tip, does remains healthy in its condition as well. Overall measuring 20 inches in length.
