Philip K. Dick's A Handful of Darkness. 1st British edition, 1st impression. Published in 1955 by Rich & Cowan. Comprises 15 short stories. Hardback bound in wonderful, sharp-cornered (second state) crimson boards. Black titles on the spine. In its original "Rudland" dust-jacket, which is un-clipped and now protected in removable archival film. No inscriptions. Bright, clean jacket shows the tiniest bit of edge-wear to its spine tips. Tanning to pages. Faint off-set ...from inner jacket flaps. No inscriptions. A wonderful copy. I cant quite make out whether the front inner hinge has a hairline crack or if its actually 2 separate sheets of paper. Barely noticeable either way. Certainly suitable as a gift or for a collector.
