Please email any questions, and HAPPY BIDDING!For your consideration, this TRUE antique Early 1900s handmade patchwork FOLK-ART quilt in an old pattern we're calling Crazy Turkey-Track Magic Circles/4-Point Stars -- this one is as FOLKY as they come.....where a thrown-together scrap quilt becomes ART! -- highly VISUAL, using VIVID lots of dark colors, reds, blacks, and jewel-tones -- a mixture of old wools, silks, cords, and cottons from the era -- nice straight edges -- light-weight with no batting between the top and back, which is a lovely tiny print green cotton -- the quilt measures 68" x 72", and was totally hand-pieced and hand-quilted around each little piece with lovely golden turkey-track or feather-stitching -- everything nicely-done, while still maintaining a great FOLK-ART presence and personality -- in VERY EXCELLENT antique condition -- light wear/gentle usage -- strong, sturdy, everything intact -- colors CRISP and VIBRANT -- pretty CLEAN, with some minimal surface soil that is not distracting and would probably lift with a quick trip to the cleaners -- no other issues to report -- these old beauties are getting harder and harder to find -- this quilt will work in any decor from country cottage/cabin/farmhouse to New York moderne-art loft -- laid across your bed, spread across the back of your sofa or fireside chair, or CELEBRATED by displaying on the wall as a great piece of TEXTILE ART! -- a true collector's piece....and the price is right!
