Three volumes of engravings and text covering the Centennial International Exhibition in Philadelphia. All three volumes in very good condition with some minor issues on the exteriors: edges are scuffed with some loss of color especially to the corners. Speckling to the publisher’s boards. Some scuffing and color loss to the heads and tails of each volume. Gorgeous gilt lettering and vignettes in the heavily ridged and banded spines; each band has a different little picture or ...symbol that represents what’s inside. Each volume has multiple engravings, sometimes several on the same page. The art volume (volume one) has several double page engravings from various artists and countries. The others have full page engravings and in-text (as does the volume one). All are in very good condition. There is a tissue overlay in one volume with shading from the Frontispiece.
