Frank Sinatra: A Man Alone Limited to 500 CopiesDecember 1969 Up for sale is an extremely rare book by Rod McKuen. Published by Cheval Books, Hollywood, California. First Edition. Printed on special paper and specially bound. Book measures 7.75" x 4.75". See scans for overall condition. You be the judge. Here is an excerpt from one of the first pages in the book:“Author’s Note - This book is not for sale. It is limited to an edition of 500 copies signed and numbered by the auth...or of which four hundred copies have been presented to Mr. Sinatra. The remaining one hundred copies have been retained by the author. The material here was written especially for Mr. Sinatra and much of it recorded by him in the album ‘A Man Alone’. It is reproduced as a written reminder of a man whose life and life style have made a difference in the world of entertainment and the world in general. Rod McKuen, 1969” From time to time, you see unsigned versions of this book selling for over $200. Was this copy part of the 100-copy lot the author retained? Was this copy part of the 400-copy lot that was given to Frank Sinatra?
