Up for auction is a tin friction 1955 Ford station wagon made by Marusan of Japan. This is a large, beautiful car in excellent condition. It measures 12 1/2 inches or 32 centimeters long and it has a width of 5 1/4 inches or almost 14 centimeters. It is in complete, original condition with a working friction motor. The deep red color of the car is beautiful and it is in excellent condition. There are a few small chips but NO touch ups and no repairs to the paint. The surface of the tin... has a terrific gloss. The black top of the car is also all original and again the paint has a marvelous gloss. The chrome trim is in marvelous condition with no areas where the chrome has darkened. The windshield is original and in excellent condition with no cracks or breaks. The back window flips up the way that it should and the tail gate also works as it should. The tires and hubcaps are just about perfect. It is hard to see from the photos but the tires still have all their original tread and the hubcaps are just about perfect. The base is also in great , all original condition. This is a beautiful tin friction car in great shape; it is pictured on page 87 of the great Big Book of Tin Toy Cars. Thanks for looking!!!!
