Up for auction is a tin friction 1955 Ford convertible car made by Haji of Japan. It measures 7 1/2 inches or 19 centimeters long and it is complete and original. It is in excellent, lightly played with condition with beautiful blue paint and shiny chrome trim. There are a few small areas where the copper shows through the chrome trim but these areas are small and aren't very noticeable. The photos make the copper look much more noticeable than it really is. The surface of the tin has ...a very nice gloss; there is one small area near the right hand side of the trunk where there is one small paint touch up. It is a really nice paint match, you wouldn't know it was there unless you were looking for it. That one small touch up is the only repair to the paint, everything else is all original. The base, tires and hubcaps are all in great shape, the tires look as if they are brand new. Unfortunately, the friction motor does not work. Haji made a whole series of Ford convertible car of this same size. They are all nice, this is the first, I think, and one of the nicest. It is a beautiful little car in great condition; it is pictured on page 85 of the great Big Book of Tin Toy Cars. Thanks for looking!!!! Questions are welcome and I will be happy to provide additional photos. Shipping will be 8.50 in the U.S.; overseas shipping will vary by country and method of shipping. Paypal is preferred for payment and within 48 hours of end of auction, please. Thanks again!!!
