This was represented as being from FRANCE, part of the estate of a woman who emigrated to the US from France with her husband shortly after WORLD WAR 2. This piece is unsigned, but has the trombone clasp that is popular in Europe. It is black heavier plastic of some kind, carved and then accented in a type of silvery enamel work. IT measures 2 3/4 inches in length and appears to me to be a CICADA.It is a sensational art deco brooch.

IF YOU WISH your package insured against loss, PLEASE TELL ME so that I can add that amount to your bill. You will have to have delivery be PRIORITY, which costs more, and so does insurance. However, it is unfair to expect me to cover a lost package out of pocket, when you do not want to pay for higher rate of shipping and insurance.Hopefully if you ask me to ship the less expensive first class, then you will take some responsibility if it goes missing. Split cost of refund, or something? Just a thought...please consider)1. Read the description and please ask questions if there are specific things you need to know.2. Have a good working knowledge of vintage jewelry, as most of what I see has been pre-owned and will thus have some form of wear. Please use common sense when bidding. My base prices are fair, and I factor in costs of good quality packing and shipping supplies to keep your items safe in Transit.COMBINED SHIPPING!
