this high quality 19th Century powder flask by Dixon & Sons.
It has a "bag shaped" form... and has been most likely made for a cased percussion revolver.
The charger has a 3-step graduated spout.
It has been signed by the makers: DIXON & SONS.
The bottom part of the body has a suspension ring.
Dimensions: total length included spout is 130 mm (5.1 Inches) - the maximum width is 45 mm (1.8 Inches).
Condition: VERY GOOD! One very minor nick to the body.
Approx. 98% of the original laquered finish is present. Brass parts have lots of gilded / laquered finish.
Top unscrews nicely. The charger is complete and in excellent working order with a strong spring.
The original steel collar screws are present.
