1864 CIVIL WAR SLAVERY ILLUSTRATED HORACE GREELEY THE AMERICAN CONFLICT 2VOL SET
Item History & Price
Here we have a First Edition copy of this seminal contemporary history of the American CIvil War and the conditions leading up to it, written by famous 19th Century abolitionist Horace Greeley. This full leather, two volume set is in fair condition only, with the binding of Volume Two in poor condition. The contents of both volumes are in good to very good condition for their age, though, with no damage other than the foxing that you have to expect in books over 150 years old. The books are embellished with numerous full page illustrations in this volume, most of which are portraits, but several are Civil War maps and panoramas. There are also many more in-page maps and Civil War scenes. I find a few odd volumes of this set available on eBay, priced from $15 to $120, but this is the only complete First Edition set available for sale on eBay.--
THIS IS A TWO VOLUME, FULL LEATHER SET(VOLUME 2'S BINDING DAMAGED!), WHICH MEASURE ABOUT 9 AND 3/4 BY 6 AND 1/2 INCHES IN DIAMETER--I'M PRICING THIS SET AT A REASONABLE STARTING BID WITH NO RESERVE, AND WILL CONSIDER ANY BEST-OFFER WHICH YOU MIGHT WISH TO MAKE--PLEASE BE ADVISED THAT I WILL BE HAPPY TO COMBINE SHIPPING IF YOU WIN MORE THAN 1 ITEM AT AUCTION ON THE SAME WEEKEND--GARY FROM HAUNTED MANSION RELIX-
