Original Description:
Vintage cast iron original US Mailbox. This is a real vintage United States Post Office Mail Box. It is made of cast iron and is dated 1949. 1949 cast into one side as shown in images. It has the pull down letter flap at the top. It says “PULL DOWN” on the flap and ”LETTERS” on the front of the box. The sides say “U.S.MAIL”. No key is included. Pull down letter slot operates as it should. Painted in Post Office Blue with previous paint jobs peeking through. Some surfa...ce rust as shown in images. It is approx. 20 inches tall 13 inches wide and 9 inches deep. Weighs a little less than 50 lbs.
