Rare Piero Fornasetti Large Sleeping Cat Ceramic, 1950s-60sSame piece sold recently with a bid of $826.00
This is a beautiful, very large Fornasetti sleeping cat ceramic figure, part of a series of differently-decorated cats produced by Fornasetti in the 1950s-60s. Complete with the artist's signature technique of adding surrealistic transfer printed decoration, with brightly colored flowers.

...aret-color: rgb(0, 67, 123);">The figure measures 12.5 inches (31.75 cm) long X 7 inches (17.7 cm) wide X 5 inches (12.7 cm) tall. Weighs about 4 lbs. 6oz. 

Excellent condition, no wear to the decoration, no chips, cracks, crazing or repairs.

Stamped "Fornasetti Milano Made In Italy" and the artist's hand-holding-brush insignia, the number 12 beneath it.
