Up for "Buy It Now" - HARD TO FIND BY ITSELF - this woodgrain metal case (cabinet / enclosure) for the Sherwood early solid state amps and tuners. Can also be used on Sherwood tube tuners and amps (if used on a tube amp, the rear portion of the amp may not be covered but would allow better ventilation for the expensive output tubes.
This cabinet is used on S-9500, S-9500a, S-9500b, S-9500C, S-9900 and S-990...0a amps. Also used on S-2300, S-2500, S-3300 and S-3500 tuners. Will also fit many S-3000 tuners and other tube tuners.
Cabinet has flanges on the bottom that are for attachment to the amp or tuner bottom plate (see photos 5 and 6) and the front edge has a tapered lip to fit into a slot in the front panel frame (see photos 7 and 8). This cabinet will work an any early Sherwood amps or tuners that were made in Chicago which utilize that type of cabinet mounting.
Dimensions are as follows:Width = 14 inchesDepth = 10 inches (including tapered lip)Height = 4 inches
May also work on tube amps but will not totally cover the rear portion of the amp over the output tubes. Would look nice on a tube amp and the open rear area would provide good ventilation for the expensive 7591 and 7868 output tubes. Also the cabinet has vented openings on the top for extra chassis ventilation (see photo 4). Cabinet is made of stamped steel and is very stout for protection of the amp or tuner.
