Here we have a neat C-ducer 6 channel piezo or tape mic preamp. (I've never used it with a tape mic but I think that's what it was originally built for)I used this with 6 contact mics and would attach them to different (or the same) source to capture ambient sounds and resonances. It works great for that.
It has balanced (XLR) and unbalanced (1/4") outs so you can also use it as a splitter. I ran the the XLR outs dry to the recorder and the unbalanced outs to my effects and th...en into recorder on different tracks.
Powered from Phantom Power through the XLR connectors so no power supply needed! But you will need phantom power turned on.
If you're getting into ambient sounds, micro music or field recording this thing will come in handy.
Also works great as a preamp for drum triggers.
Has some scratches and the case is pretty beat up but works great.
