CARENA 2X8 STANDARD 8 MOVIECAMERA WITH SOM BERTHIOT F1.9/12.5 D MOUNT LENSThe Carena 2X8standard 8mm movie camera with interchangeable D mount lenses was introduced in1957 and superseded by automatic and zoom lens models in 1960. It was a noveldesign, with the clockwork motor in the hand grip and a completely removable bodyshell. These features made it pleasant to operate, except when you had it on atripod and then needed to wind the motor. This example is verygood cosmetically. The bo...dy is also good mechanically, but the fine-looking lensis not usable. It appears to be occluded by loose aperture blades, and thefocus ring is too stiff to move. Camera serial number is G5395; the lens isnumber K64399. The camera comes in its original box and with the instructionmanual and Som lens cap.Please examine the photos as they are partof the description.
