You are bidding on a 1971 book entitled Lunar Orbiter Photographic Atlas of the Moon. In 1966 and 1967 NASA (the National Aeronautics and Space Administration) used unmanned spacecraft to take photos of the moon's surface in order to find a suitable landing site for the manned Apollo moon missions. This book is an atlas of those photographs. It also describes the five spacecraft placed in lunar orbit to take the photographs, and includes maps of the different lunar regions and tables s...ummarizing the orbiter missions, support data and lunar features.
