Here is a stunning and rare pair (2) of Art Deco 1920's modernistic nude ladies metal bookends from San Francisco Estate. Also known as "Nude at the Beach". Made in U.S.A. w Pat.Pend. Circa 1930's. They are exquisite! These wonderful deco ladies look very streamlined and modernistic. They have 1920's swept back hairdos (similar to the Frankart ladies), they have excellent detail, pretty faces, and they are sitting on a rock with waves splashing... on them. The overall measurement is 5-1/2" tall, 5" long, and 4-1/4" wide. They are made out of some kind of metal with an opalescent green finish - a magnet will not stick to them. These pretty ladies are signed "Pat.Pend." on the back of the base (see picture). The condition is amazingly very good - shows some wear but no chips, breaks, cracks, or repairs. The estimated value was $350.00 according to the estate. Our reserve is only $95.00 for the pair. This fabulous pair of deco lady bookends came from an estate in San Francisco, and are vintage. They have a great deco look - very modernistic and unique. Pictures don't do them justice. They are truly a quality pair, and would make a wonderful addition to someone's collection.
