Here is a stunning and rare pair (2) of Art Deco 1920's Armor Bronze nude ladies with cute faces bronze-clad bookends from San Francisco Estate. Made by Armor Bronze, Co., Taunton, Mass. Circa 1920's. They are exquisite. These wonderful deco ladies have curly hairdos, cute faces, and they look so charming, sitting on the edge of a rock, bending backwards with their arms behind them. The overall measurement is 7-3/4" tall, 4" long, and 3" wide. They are mad...e of bronze-clad material which is bronze over another material, probably plaster - a magnet will not stick to them. They are both marked with the letter "C" in a circle on the back, and there's a paper label on one bookend which reads "Armor Bronze Co." Some of the label has worn off. See picture. The condition is amazingly very good - shows wear and some missing finish that has been touched up. See picture. Other than that, they look great.... especially since they are over 90 years old. The estimated value was $450.00 according to the estate. Our reserve is only $125.00 for the pair This fabulous pair of deco lady bookends came from an estate in San Francisco, and are vintage. They have a great deco look - very modernistic and unique. Pictures don't do them justice. They are truly a quality pair, and would make a wonderful addition to someone's collection.
