Offering this fascinating Egyptian faience vessel. It has a turquoise blue glaze with a rolled ridge design around the neck. As you can see, a handle, loop, or embellishment is missing near the neck and the rim of the mouth looks ground down. There is a large crater in the body - not sure if it is where the other end of the handle was applied or just general damage. This has obviously been heavily repaired, so view pictures for clearest idea of condition. There is a yellow cast toward ...the center of the body that is likely from the adhesive originally used to repair the piece. It was applied to a vintage plaster base many years ago. Measures approximately 8 7/8" tall, 2" wide across the mouth and 4 1/2" wide across the plaster base.
