This auction is for my vintage pale gold silk curtains that have the benefit of bump blanket interlinings but unfortunately one cannot get to them as they have been sewn into the white cotton linings. Each curtain measures an 83 inch drop with a 3 inch hem sewn into the linings etc. The width across each hem is 53 inches and the triple pinch pleat headers each measure 23 inches across. These are ideal curtains for a narrow Victorian or Edwardian window. On one curtain there... is a black dot a little way down on one side as per the photograph and the other curtain has a series of minuscule purple dots within the faded edge area as per the photo but if this were turned over you would not see them. I can find no other stains or dirty marks on the silk externally ~ there's one slight yellow mark on one lining but otherwise they are in good vintage odourless condition, clean and ready to hang. I've several pairs of tie backs in varying colours if you're interested in purchasing some.
There is a matching much larger and wider single curtain that will be under separate auction and I'm happy to combine postage. Please note these are not new and are at least 30 years old but represent absolute value for money. The little metal hooks are already in place on the triple pinched pleat headers to facilitate easy hanging. As with all my curtains, I would advise that whilst not dirty and having no nasty odours, I would recommend a professional clean following storage.
